Privacy policy

The short version

Shake Club does not ask for your email, phone number, contacts or location. Recordings go only to the person who asked for them, and we delete them from our servers after at most 30 days.

If you use the app

The app gets an anonymous ID so it can create recording links for you. We store that ID, a push notification token, the first name and prompt you put on a link, and the status of your links. Your alarms, songs and your own recordings stay on your phone.

If you record for a friend

We store the first name you type and your recording, and send the recording to the friend who sent you the link. We don't store your email, phone number or location. Your recording is deleted from our servers after at most 30 days, or straight away if your friend deletes or reports it. Your friend keeps a copy on their phone to use as an alarm.

Wake-up receipts

If the app user chooses to send you a receipt, it holds the time they woke up, how many shakes and snoozes it took, and optionally a selfie or short video. Anyone with the receipt link can see it, and it is deleted after 7 days.

Who processes the data

We use Google Firebase (Google LLC) to store data and send notifications, in the United States. We don't sell data or use it for advertising.

Age

Shake Club is for people aged 13 and over.

Your choices

You can cancel a link or delete a recording in the app at any time. To ask us to delete anything else, email hello@shakeclub.app with the link involved.
